- Identify and explain Prevent, radicalisation and terrorism
- Understand what the Statutory Prevent Duty is and what the Prevent responsibilities are
- Understand the concept of extremism, including violent and non-violent extremism
- Know the five core British values and how to embed them in teaching and practice
- Identify what counter-terrorism is, what the CONTEST strategy is, and how a risk or vulnerability assessment can be carried out
- Understand the policies that should be in place to identify individuals at risk of being drawn into extremism, and to deal with such a situation if it arises
- Know when and how to make a referral, and what happens after a referral is made
- Understand what Channel is and how it works
